My Stance:
Well this spoils a lot of what I am looking for in the series. Okay maybe not so much, but I know that there characters live through the second book, which is spoiler-ish. I just started the first book and Karou is one of those female characters that sears into my brain. It's not that she's this hard, self-sufficient character like some of the others that top my lists. However Karou is different and makes me want to see more of her character and try to understand her completely. I have the second book on my shelf, and while I may not read it by the time this book comes out, I still am eager to add it to my shelf.
The characters int he series make the book great, but the covers help lure me in. Akiva I am not so sold on though, but that'll come with the review. Either way the war with Chimaera and the Seraph is still ongoing and while I expected it to, I just wonder what the point of the second book is now. I guess that's why I should read it before reading these synopsis. I didn't used to, but things happened when I was looking for books to feature this week and this one cropped up. I enjoyed the cover so much I couldn't help myself.
