About

Name: Ryan Grooms
Location: Rochester, Indiana

About:
Ryan works locally at the moment, trying to get out and into the computer business. He graduated from Purdue University at Kokomo during the Spring Semester of 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Computer and Information Technology. As well, he has an Associates of Computer Graphics.

Ryan has always had a thing for writing and a bit of poetry. It took a while to get into books, and get into a serious working to review. The main reason was, being forced to read books for school, especially books he frankly had no interest in, kills any and all interest in good literature. Lately, Ryan found a series and a genre that fits well, and will read about anything that comes close to those styles.

Ryan reads everyday, in some form or another. Most of the books are centered around Young Adult, Dystopian, Romance, and/or some form of Fantasy series or novels. Particularly there isn't any one that he would claim to be his favorite, he views every book as an individual novel/series. Almost like people, no two people are alike, identically, so how do you judge two nearly worldly different novels? It just doesn't seem appropriate or right.

As well, lately Ryan has been working on the first part of a trilogy entitled Transplant. In hopes he'll finish it someday. There was always something aspiring about writing and creating a world that no one had thought of, some situation everyone understood, just never stopped to think about, is what interests him the most.

About the blog:

The Paper Critic was designed to follow primarily the interests of Ryan's genre interests. Later when the concept was put to paper there was doubt that there would be enough books out there to read and get onto a proper channel. Boy was he wrong. It didn't take long for a desk to fill up and a bookshelf to appear in the corner, slowly filling and compiling with books that need to be finished, and detailed.

Normally there will be two books reviewed on a weekly basis, but as times may need there could be less or fewer (depending on given circumstances). As well these reviews will primarily follow the genres Young Adult, Dystopian, Romance, and/or some form of Fantasy series or novels. The reviews will explain, in the best way, how the book was viewed and just what an appropriate rank of the book be at the current time.
