Rating System

This is the pinnacle of novels, and only the top picks that I read shall receive this at all. Only a few, possibly none, will be given a year and is an honor. Books of this caliber are top candidates for my recommendation list. I highly recommend all of these books to anyone looking to find a good book in a specific genre. Future books from the author and series I will pick up.

Books in this range are great and enjoyable. They are very good candidates for the recommendation list and could show up. There are a few questions and small issues that can be overlooked through the characters, world building, and plot. These books I will be on the look for future novels, but I may not immediately pick up them.

The book was enjoyable, but there was some flaws with the story in general. The flaw may be in the characters, world or plot, but there is a general acceptance of the problem. I personally didn't find the book all that impressive, but still enjoyed the novel, and in the future will consider and look at future novels, but will be under consideration for picking up anything further.

This range focuses on books that leave me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I can't say there was anything utmost wrong or was just so far erroneous that makes the novel hard to read, but it wasn't a pleasant book to read. Further, I wouldn't recommend picking the book, and suggest you check the local library for the book. The book is just suggestively worth reading, be cautious.

These books are just painful. I hate to say this, but avoid them or proceed with extreme caution. I pride myself on trying finish a book all the time, but in the rare case that I cannot, they will fall here. If ever there is a book that questions your humanity, these books will turn you into a zombie when you finish them.
