My Stance:
Claudia Gray comes back to the world with a novel that is is covered is gorgeous colors. I wondered what the cover had to do with the synopsis and frankly I needed to reread it to understand. The whole multiverse is kicking it off this year isn't it? What I fail to see though in this book is how this book is anything like Every Day by David Levithan, am I just missing it? What is with people killing someone and then running off into another universe/reality and managing to be safe for a while, it just seems like a usual ploy and I am starting to get bored with the overused plot.
However, this book is a great top release this year. I love how well rounded Marguerite is, even if she just jump off the crazy train casing some guy that supposedly killed her father. I mean I know that the synopsis hints at doubt, but at the potential there could be, realistically she could be dead as soon as she crosses a border. I know that I try not to compare book at all, but what sets this book apart? Does Marguerite fall for another version of Paul (her fathers murderer?) or is there some secret group after him? It is hard to tell, but makes me want to read the book that much more.
