My Stance:
I have been on a spree of devouring these suicide stories. I love how each author takes a different perspective and Tease by Amanda Maciel is the best that I've read so far. They all have different perspectives in how the characters view their demise. And it's troubling to read about it, and see just how the characters differ and they get through the hardships on their own. The growth and development of the characters is what gets me. In this case though Liz had already decided what's going to happen, and it seems it's more about the people affected by her decision.
I hope this book isn't just a giant flashback of Liz's life and what she needs to accomplish. I get the feeling this is going to be a lot like If I Stay by Gayle Forman, which is a standard I use for contemporary novels. So I hope if the case of this novel falls into flashbacks, this happens well and doesn't flop; there are just so many books that are equivalent or do this so well that I find it going to be hard to do that. I hope this just does it so well i don't doubt it at all.
