Title: Get Even
   Author: Gretchen McNeil
   Format: Hardcover
   Release Date: September 16th, 2014

The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars in Gretchen McNeil’s witty and suspenseful novel about four disparate girls who join forces to take revenge on high school bullies and create dangerous enemies for themselves in the process.

Bree, Olivia, Kitty, and Margot have nothing in common—at least that’s what they’d like the students and administrators of their elite private school to think. The girls have different goals, different friends, and different lives, but they share one very big secret: They’re all members of Don’t Get Mad, a secret society that anonymously takes revenge on the school’s bullies, mean girls, and tyrannical teachers.

When their latest target ends up dead with a blood-soaked “DGM” card in his hands, the girls realize that they’re not as anonymous as they thought—and that someone now wants revenge on them. Soon the clues are piling up, the police are closing in . . . and everyone has something to lose.

My Stance:

Okay I am a die hard Gretchen McNeil fan, and when I saw this book was coming out I couldn't help but feature this. Frankly I have read nearly every book she has done, and some that I haven't are sitting on my TBR shelf. I love her style, her character design and world building is just superb. I honestly can't get enough of her and frankly I crave more when I get finished with the books.

This reminds me of the whole Ten novel she did, just with a different sort of wrapping. I love how the girls are the ones getting even and think they are anonymous, but are completely taken by surprise when they seem to be getting targeted. I want to see if the suspense in this novel holds up decently well. I have hopes that it will, and frankly if anyone can do it, it's her. Further I hope there is something more that ties who the person(s) that are hunting them is fitting or somehow ties the group together. I think it would be a great psychological thrill to have that play in as well.
