This may be one of the few times I am actually going to be making a post on time. I am happy, while I am ahead this time, I hope to stay ahead. I normally have an up to date database of books that I have on my shelf, but I haven't updated it for a few weeks. I may be doing that come Monday on my time of to update the books I have to put on Mailbox Monday; my current list is getting slimmer.
This week there really wasn't a working theme or something that really pushed me to buy this series of books. There were a few that I was rather surprised to find, one that I bought on a whim, and the others I wasn't really sure what I was expecting, just read something similar from the author. So without any further or due, this is this weeks books.

Hysteria comes from the mind of Megan Miranda, author of Fractured. When I picked this book up, it was shortly after I finished Fractured, and while I wanted ore out of Fractured. I picked up this book, hoping it would be that filler and extension. However, as much as I was hoping to see a sequel, this wasn't a sequel at all, and I was a bit let down.
This book stars Mallory killing her boyfriend. In the synopsis we know she feels Brian, her boyfriend, with her afterwards, and I don't understand if its a guilt or if there is something more that is is trying to be expressed. I am not exactly sure what I am looking for in this particular book, but in a tale of a girl who has to delve into her past, into the murder of her boyfriend, and a current one to clear her name and her reputation.

Author: Orson Scott Card

Ender's Shadow I bought as a companion to Ender's Game, and rightfully that's what the book is. This book seams to focus on Bean as opposed to Ender. I enjoy it, it gives insight into the minds of those students, or children who are with and trying to save the world from the Buggers. I highly enjoy the sister books, and what insight they give into supporting characters. Bean is one that I think would be slightly different in comparison to Ender.
Bean is one of the characters that I could more likely relate to. He comes from a rather neglected background, and knows how to use his brain to win and get to the end goal. However, I sense that he could be a bit arrogant, and while that could be the case, I just hope there isn't a clash or a huge rivalry (Hero vs Villian) that grows out of this book, I will find out though.

Just One Day is by one of my favorite authors, and I can't wait to get into this book. Its on the poll, of books that I am willing to try out and get involved in. Most of those books are chick-lit, and while this one possibly could be, I still find Gayle Forman, a great author. I would love to talk about Forman, and her works in the If I Stay duet, but that not why I bought this book.
Just One Day's synopsis sounds like one of those stories, in which a girl seemingly falls in love with a famous actor in an instant. I always have believed in love at first sight, just never thought, or saw it happen. This isn't like that though, I am don't want to think that Willem used Lulu for his benefit than left without a trace. It would provide a great, emotional roller coaster of a story though. A girl whose reeling for some sort of control or understanding for why Willem did that to her. A girl whose whole world seems to be flipped upside down in a moments notice, with one guy.

This book caught my eye when I was looking through Barnes and Nobel. I didn't read the bit of him being the author of Eleventh Plague till after I bought the book, and a small smile caught my lips. I look forward to opening the cover, and exploring the world that Glenn's so eager to get away from. In this book, I was looking for Magisterium and trying to figure out what it was and what the purpose of it was. However, when I read the synopsis I found I wasn't at all informed about what the Magisterium was. I thought it would be something, but apparently it really doesn't have much to do with the book in part.
Glenn is a unique character that I really haven't seen around a lot. I haven't really seen a lot of books in which the character has a nearly perfect life, and wants to run away from it, but she has every right to. With a mother who abandoned her, and a father who is so self absorbed in work that he lands in jail, it wouldn't be a life I would want to be part of. But when her father gives her a bracelet that puts her on the run, it makes me wonder what that bracelet can do.
Reboot has been on my watch list for a long while, probably since the cover reveal. Friend of mine showed it to me and I fell in love immediately. It reminds me of my high school days playing Halo and always respawning back to life to charge into battle without any question. That seems to be Wren, a lifeless inhuman, stronger, faster, and well everything that Superman would be. The question is, why do people come back, or why are they rebooted, what caused that to happen.
The downside to being rebooted, is you lack emotions. Or do you? Wren feels alive, whens she's next to Callum, and once again, she's alive. However, what does this mean, and what will she have to do in order to stay alive? Wren's world sounds complex, and thought invoking, I just hope this book hasn't been too over hyped.
