My Stance:
I have been a fan of Jodi Lynn Anderson since I read Tiger Lily. I have been trying to keep an eye on her novels, and I want to read more. She has a great way with working characters, and getting her readers to get completely into the characters and feeling all their emotion. In this case I think this book won't be any exception either. The Vanishing Season, I forsee as being a book that's going to haunt me one night when I finally pick it up.
I believe this is a book told from a ghosts perspective, however I don't know if this is the case of Every Day by David Levithan in which the gender of the main character is more ambiguous. I don't know whether that would effect how the story would read (in terms of town or relationships), or if it would be needed at all. Either way, I am confused why the ghost or person is ties to the two girls, but than again that is why I would read the book. It's such a great sounding book, that I really just hope she nails the story. Did I mention the cover and how eerie it looks?
