My Stance:
Vivian Divine is Dead hasn't been on my wishlist for a while. Since it was unveiled on Tea Time, I have had a slight crush for this book. It takes a hollywood star and puts her in a film that she can't escape. I love the premise of the potential the book has. As well as the cover, it's got so much going on and I want to grab it. I haven't really looked at other reviews of this book, because of the potential. I want to surprise myself with this book and let it tell its own story without having anything spoiled or revealed early.
The issue I have though is the romance. I can already see it building but at the same time, it just seems forced. She needs someone to help her, but if she is as famous as what she is being made out to be, wouldn't it make sense to hire some security not confide in some boy? I understand in a relationship you can feel safe and all, but I don't buy it. Or if it's all a gimmick from Nick, sending the death threat, so Vivian will notice him. I don't know, and I'm going to stop speculating. Come to my shelf!!
