Title: Sweet Reckoning
   Author: Wendy Higgins
   Format: Paperback
   Release Date: April 29th, 2014

     It’s time.

Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

My Stance:

Sweet Evil i picked up on a flyby through Barnes and Noble, I thought the book sounded great and while I haven't yet gotten around to read it, it is on my list of books get to this year. I never thought this book would be an angel or a paranormal series. I thought it was a romance novel/series and thought it would be great to get into, boy was I wrong. Looking back though, I may have thought it was a Fallen style series.

Sweet Reckoning was a book that I have been somewhat looking forward to, for the cover alone. I love the artwork. It's a sensual romance between the two. Yet there seems to be something more, longing in their expressions. The thought in the covers was so throughtout; I appreciate the covers that it looks like some of the artists actually read the book or how the artists envisioned the characters. It's a perspective that gives and drives my first impression and I want it to be good. Higgins books have been a great eye catcher too.
