My Stance:
Reawakened was brought to my attention through, well Goodreads and their lovely explore function. I haven't read anything from Colleen Houck, and I've heard some decent reviews and whatnot, from some of her past works and I wanted to give her a chance. I have always been a fan of Greek and Egyptian mythology. While I don't know much about egyptian mythology, I have always been looking to learn and see what others think about their culture and lifestyle.
What took me back though is the idea that you have an ancient Egyptian god that is thrust into modern world centuries older and more advanced than what he or she is used to. I like the idea and the concept, I just hope the follow through is good and manages to capitalize on the work that Houck has put into it. The plot seems so one dimensional though, I just hope there's a bit more involvement and twists that come with the book than what is being lead on. I hope.
