The Raven Boys is done by a good author, Maggie Stiefvater, who has put The Wolves of Mercy series and the notable The Scorpio Races. The book sounds really good, so without further delay, I'll just get down to it.

The Raven Boys has a good set of characters, that sound very complex and the attention to some of their details and personalities is going to make this book a very good read. I like characters that seem to compliment each other. By that I mean that the characters in a book reflect reality and they aren't perfect or superhuman, they have a weakness and the group of characters give off a balanced and realistic appearance. This book so far has that going for it, we'll see when I get around to reading it though.
My question though is what is this book really about. It sounds like a weird romance, but the way I keep looking at the book I almost expect there to be something supernatural about it, and there just isn't. Okay spirits and stuff are in this book, I am expecting more than that. As well, The romance in this book, I'm not sure how well I'm going to enjoy it. The idea and the plot of the romance has been done over and over. The whole "I'm not supposed to go with ____ boys, but I love this _____ boy." It just seems too overdone, and that's my biggest concern.
