Title: Doom Stone
   Author: Paul Zindel
   Release Date: November 28th, 1995

Jackson is always psyched to visit his aunt Sarah when she's working on an anthropological dig. This time she's in England, at Stonehenge, and Jackson can't wait to see the massive and mysterious stone formations in person. But then he witnesses a vicious attack on a young man, and another on his beloved aunt Sarah. A savage beast no one has ever seen before is on the prowl. Now it's up to Jackson and his new friend, Alma, a gravedigger's daughter, to stop the beast. All the clues lead back to Stonehenge, where he and Alma must risk their lives to solve the mystery of the monster stalking the countryside-before it's too late.

My Stance:

This is an older book that really got me into reading when I was younger. Yes I have read this book and while it may not be my taste anymore, it helped bring me to the genre that I enjoy today. It was a great suspense novel that I treacly just couldn't put down at all. I remember being told to go to bed over and over, and when that didn't work the book was actually taken from me. I had nightmare about this book, it was great.

Now I an not saying that the book was bad or anything of the nature cause it gave me nightmares, in fact that's is part of why I enjoyed it so much. It had this attraction, and main character felt so real, I felt almost entirely connected to the persona. It was a great read!

This book is here, and featured because of what it means to me. It was almost like a starting point me, in the book/reading scene. For that reason alone, I am looking for a good copy of this book for my shelf. It would more than likely get reread, and I would prolly put out a formal review. I would review it now, but it would almost be entirely on memory, which isn't what I want to put out. Plus, it wouldn't meet my standard of quality for a review.
